In January we reported that they were renovating Poseidons Avenue in from the Almyra Hotel down to the Sea Front. In this film we return to the scene to see what progress has been made in the last three months. The good news is the road itself is pretty much finished, along with one side of the pedestrian area. The work is now concentrating on the section that is being landscaped. Come and have a look...

Now the road has been completed and most of the pavement the shore side they should be finished before the main holiday season. When finished it will look great and you’ll no longer have to watch were you are walking incase you trip or go over on your ankle on the uneven pavement

Having been a visitor for over 25 years and later in life a resident of Cyprus I have seen many changes in Paphos!
Great update thank you! I really feel for all the businesses affected by the improvements to Old Town and Kato Paphos and hope those that have managed to survive and stay afloat during the renovations will now reap the benefits as will visitors to both areas. On the surface Paphos tourist areas can look a bit tired and dated and precarious to navigate during the changes but on further investigation offer a wealth of history if you just scratch the surface and investigate both areas on foot. We always find a visit worthwhile, enjoyable and discover every time another shop, bar or restaurant to add to our list of ‘must come back’! However, always glad to return home to the peace and stunning coastline of our village, Pomos!
