As requested, your name is now JimX. I mention this here instead of via PM in case you try and log on as Allesley and cannot.

Dominic when I used MM first name (everyone knows what that is) he was upset, when a member enquires about my private life just like anyone else I get a little upset too, certainly not picking a fight with MM just saying the way it is.
Hudswell, it is in fact, my surname shortened to X. I am not a black activist. Lets all just move along, changed my login name and my signature, hope that is OK with you all.

To be fair to Jim,that speed limit on the new dual carriageway is a bit daft and then you have to ask why did they change the 50k limit to 65k on the dual carriageway down to it?

Hopefully this issue will be settled amicably and not have to be referred for discussion at the meeting?

I have spun this off from the original crime awareness thread. Feel free to continue the banter, I just thought Galexinda's information deserved proper exposure.

I just hope that the issue of the 50kph limit on the new dual carriageway and on the single carriageway link is brought up at the meeting.
As I stated on previous threads, taxis regularly over exceed the limit by huge amounts and you never see them pulled up. It is 50kph on the bit that takes you up to the new roundabout on the old airport road, and if you try to do that speed you have taxis flashing their lights at you and honking their horns. Then, when you get to the roundabout, if you have held your nerve and only done 50kph, you get idiot drivers trying to overtake you on the inside as you go round the roundabout. It is an accident waiting to happen because of a ridiculously low speed limit.

Only problem with deleting and/or editing comments is that it leaves a rather nonsensical discussion. The issue I hoped would be 'settled amicably' had nothing to do with crime or speed limits, rather the different personalities on this forum!

Galexinda - my post had nothing whatsoever to do with this thread, I had posted on the wrong one! All to do with age I'm afraid

To be honest I'm confused about this thread, so that makes two of us!
