It wasn't the forum, it was the server.

Most will wake to to new day & see their last post. A very big well done & suspect you are still up in the early hours of the morning

Oh yes. They restored a backup, and I had to do some extra restores on top of that.

My point was that there was a lot more at stake than the forum.

For a start, when they did their restore I lost the last two months of emails. Worse, all the emails I had deleted as spam were now fresh and new again.

Fortunately, I have since restored all the emails.

Anyway, the bed beckons...

I understand. But surely you must have been involved in liaising with the server owners and getting everything back up to date?

All I can say is if a server goes down it is fingers crossed that data is preserved & that has happened here. Anyone still remember a similar thing happening on another Paphos site & a lot of data was lost. But no big deal if it is lost as I have said before. Not life & death

Always was in my day, we were always having to reload the software on CL some members may remember, we then moved to another server more expensive but it never happened again..
