On one of my last trips I came along a steep hill site where I noticed a lot of fossilized shells, but much more interesting was that:
and I assumed that I can see the remains of an octopus, ca 30 cm large.... anybody has got an idea what it could be otherwise?
here a close up!

Under certain conditions, I understand that soft tissue can completely decompose leaving a void, like a mould, which can fill over millenia with minerals deposited from solution.
An incredible find, Max, and certainly appears like an octopus.

I am planning to visit the place again in the near future in order to produce more close up photos in better quality as these ones are only screen shots..and perhaps I discovered something very special were I need better quality pics..
