Our bathroom marble top has lost it's shine after many years. Does anyone have any tips on how to restore it in a reasonably simple way.

Many thanks, Paul and Lesley. We've been looking on-line too. I'm hoping that someone can offer advice from experience, maybe using products purchased in Paphos. Thanks again.

I tried loads of over-the-counter products over the years, but none were satisfactory. Then we had a new kitchen in the UK and the installers gave me a kit by Lithofin. Brilliant stuff that really works. You can buy it on Amazon and perhaps surprisingly given its contents, it can be shipped here. The Polish Care Cream is terrific, after you've cleaned the worktop. It takes a bit of effort but well worth it.

I have lack luster Granite worktops in my kitchen, you can buy a polishing mop and polishing liquid from Amazon but looking on YouTube this is far from an easy fix, possible but you could end up with an unholy mess.

I also asked at Pafos largest Granite and Marble supplier fairly close to my home, they said replacement only and they do not re-polish these kinds of worktops, but as far as I am aware there is nothing out of a bottle that will do this job.

If any member knows of a tradesman who can re polish stone worktops then please post a contact.

We've ordered the Lithofin Polish Care Cream from Amazon DE which has had good reviews. Thanks for all the replies.

Hi all I once did a course on how to restore granite/marbel I can asure you all
there is nothing on the market to bring back the shine has to be done by
machine there was not enough demand for me to buy all the stuff needed to do it
diamond pads ect and it takes a lot of time as you have to do it in stages
can make a bit of a mess with the water as well and once done you wont
be called back so not worth the outlay I felt

Hi HIC the pads you have to use are graded diamond ones depending on how bad the tops
are you might get away starting on the milddle then working down to fine then final buff with the cream
also you have to keep moving.
and you need a varible speed angle grinder not the big job they do small hand held and light
there are videos on you tube how to do it but it is not a easy as they make out you need to be doing it every
day ie tools in your hands if you understand what im trying to say
also depending on use the pads dont last that long
you can buy all you need on ebay but for your statue I would say due to its shape it is a factory job

Don't be shy Lloyd let us all know who these people were and maybe contacts, if they can clean up your Lion they could probably do kitchen worktops..

And Vic I was going to do the same, and as you say the grind wheel equipment and special grinding paste's came out too expensive. I do not need reassuring about stuff from bottles they do not work on Granite worktops if they are badly marked as ours are, they are fifteen years old..
