Last year they were constructing breakwaters in the sea halfway between Latchi and Polis for beach conservation which I understand, it was a little noisy with the sound of rocks crashing when they were unloaded etc, have they been finished now or is it still ongoing? We are arriving in September. Thanks

Work was completed last and the site now cleared.

That sounds great, have they completed them all the way down to the campsite now then ? Has the path been rebuilt yet?

Thanks I did read that when it was published but it didn't say if the breakwaters were finished or not, they have been working on them for about 3 years!

Paulaf,Yes break waters completed to Polis beach, a new path to the campsite has also been constructed although the old one hasn’t been removed.

Thanks so has all the machinery and landing platform in the sea been removed too?

Paulaf, yes everything gone they even removed by hand small rocks from the sea after the landing platform was removed.

Thanks that sounds great peace and quiet restored this year then and hopefully the beach and path will no longer be eroded too.
