Well, this post is perhaps only for fish lovers. I was offered last Saturday at my fish tavern, to try "Kourkouna", as most Cypriots go for it when available.
I knew that fish from the past when I was out with Latchi fishermen in the '80s and it was not good enough to sell...

nowadays it is a delicacy.
So I looked forward when it was served at "my" table at the seafront
The other fish I get very often and it belongs to the "Sorgos" family and is always excellent...
My verdict: Wow, really nice taste except the fish eggs which taste quite boring, but that was only a spoonful.

That's why I love living here, sitting next to the sea, the smell of the ocean, seams to make everything taste better.

It's also in our directory:

Here's a task for you Max: write a review of your fish restaurant, including 7 of your favourite pictures, and I will add it to the entry.

OMG Max, I remember Latchi from back in the 60s when the now tavernas were carob stores and there was a wooden pier. There was a lovely fisherman there with blue or green eyes who used to dive for sponge.
Lovely childhood memories. I think he took us on his boat once but my memories are vague on this.
He used to barbecue the fish on the beach. Now it has all changed.

We've had the fish there and it was lovely. Service friendly too. The location itself is stunning.
