Have you got a NYR?
Will you stick to it?
I haven't thought of anything for me yet!

Mine is to make a better effort to learn Greek.
I will be adding a Learning Greek section to this forum, to that end!

I'm going to drink less alcohol this year...
...than I will in 2018.

I thought that I might stop procrastinating - but I'll leave that for next year

I really must get back to the gym. I forgot to go again yesterday. That's 7 years in a row.

Gave them up years ago. I realised I was setting myself up to fail!

Never weigh yourself on Jan 1st. Always wait a couple of weeks.

I've only ever made one New Year Resolution and that was at the beginning of January 2015.....
There's going to be so much more of visits to the beach in 2015 than there was in 2014.
We definitely stuck to it as I changed my working lifestyle during 2015 and went from working 4½ days a week (with Weds afternoon off) to just 4 days a week with Friday off. It meant we visited either Curium or Ladies Mile Beach 3 days a week....
A favourite viewpoint at Curium Beach:
Unusual sighting -
HMS Ambush (Royal Navy submarine) seen from Ladies Mile Beach along the coast near RAF Akrotiri, Limassol, Cyprus - leaving Limassol New Port:
Ladies Mile Beach - near to Club Oceania:
We still get to visit the beach every day here in UK when we walk our dog Ruby. In fact, we're less than 500 footsteps from our local beach - much closer than we were in Cyprus, where we had to drive to reach any beach. How mad is that!
May 2016 on the ferry jetty at Knott End - looking across Pilling Sands at a very low tide:
October 2016 - our favourite cycle path coming back to Knott End along the coastal pathway. We have a twice daily 10 metre tide, we're still enthralled by that at the moment!:

Happy New Year, Louise - I hope you are well....
Today was a little different for us. We took a walk along the seafront later this afternoon with Ruby but before that, I decided to sand down and upcycle an old pine bedside cabinet. It may very well end up in the bathroom later on as I'm using the paint we put on the walls there after the recent refit.
I still have to paint the drawer fronts and I'm also looking out for a French style wallpaper to line the drawers with. The paper will also go at the back on a display unit which will arrive at the end of next week.
Not my usual sort of New Years' Day
