Paphos Life

Hi everyone,

In the near future, I'll be moving personal effects by sea from Japan to Paphos port.
Can anyone recommend a fairly-priced, reliable moving company in Paphos that can pick up
the boxes from Paphos port and deliver them to our rented apartment, which will probably
be in Pano Paphos.

Any advice greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Paphos isnt really a port in terms of cargo, most likely to be going to Limassol.

Peter Morton in Paphos can probably help you.

Agree it will be Limassol that the goods are going to, unless you have a Private Yacht ..

We have used Orbit , for both International and a local move , suggest you get quotes like we di and see the items covered and offered . We found Orbit came out the best in two instances

Today I had a meeting w/ the shipping agent here in Tokyo;
I'll clarify if they can get the stuff to Paphos by sea, or as you suggest, it'll be Limassol port,
then a land transfer to Paphos.

Although we didn't actually contract them directly, (both our RSA and US shippers used them), I can also vouch for Orbit who did the final leg of two international moves here and were excellent.

As mentioned already Peter Morton are very good.

We moved UK to Cyprus and our shipping agency in UK arranged the transfer agent at the Cyprus end. We didn't have to find someone to do it for us...

Agree with PhotoLady. Just ship it door-to-door and let the shippers find an agent in Cyprus. If you have a preference then tell them when you get a quote.

When we moved here to Cyprus from the UK, we left it to our removers as we had also booked door- to -door. Their agents were the Limassol co.Orbit. As others have said this co was excellent. They met our shipment when it arrived - a container at the docks there and they handled all the customs and shipment docs. Its recommended that you have an agent to do this. They also stored our lift vans from the container v efficiently for several months until our new house was ready for occupation, They then delivered and placed furniture into our villa. They were excellent. Very professional. I have used Peter Morton on a different occasion, but not for an International move, so can’t comment, they are also pretty good too.
B-T-W. There is only a small quite shallow harbour at Paphos. All large ships including tankers and container ships, dock at Limassol Docks.
