Cyprus Mail have revamped their website. Consequently, my web scraper will also need revamping. I hope to get it updated within a day or two, but in the meantime, if there is a story on Cyprus Mail you want to share, just include the link to the Cyprus Mail website and the first couple of paragraphs of text. Don't reproduce the whole article as they will probably get annoyed and start muttering about copyright infringement, which is fair enough.

It seems that they have updated the app as well as it no longer works on either IOS or Android.🤔

I personally found the new website difficult to use, unlike the previous one! I also cannot now load it on my smart phone!

The story about the latest search in the red lake [https://cyprus-mail.com/2019/05/20/sear ... -suitcase/] has 'related posts' as a footer of which they bare no relation whatsoever, not even crime related.

The new site is itty-bitty with no logical way to follow items that may be found here, there or nowhere, sometimes in several places. Definitely a downgrade!

Even their email address on the web doesn't work.

If it doesn’t it work on iOS or Android i suspect they have not updated the app. Also noticed existing bookmarks on safari for iOS and Mac don’t work due to too many redirects, but deleting the bookmark and creating a new one fixes that.

Hopefully a new app, or update to the existing, to follow.

They had changed their page structure overnight again, so it is an ongoing thing.

If you want to be technical, they appear to be trying to adopt google best new practices for HTML code, which quite frankly suck.

So instead of having quotes surrounding your various attributes you can omit them if you can get away with it. Yay! Automated systems just love ambiguity.

This is the link I use to read a selection of Cypriot newspapers in English and there is the option to read them in Greek:

The app I had downloaded that I said worked, in fact doesn't. The original one is again working.
