There have been 2 helicopters flying around Corallia Beach area for the past couple of hours. They don’t have search lights on so presumably not looking for anyone.

Maybe it's a show of strength towards the Turks who are allegedly 60km to the West supposedly drilling in a disputed EEZ ??

Probably a military exercise.

A truck full of soldiers went down the track near us late this afternoon, then back again a couple of hours later. Possibly a combined ground and air exercise?

Lots of reservists , around Larnaca, today, in full uniform, looks like some sort of exercise going on.

I hope Israel doesn't request any help from Cyprus to deal with their Palestinian problem!

Why not? Cyprus may one day need to call on Israel to help with 'our' Turkish problem.
Always nice when you can call in a favour
Cyprus can't deal with their own problems, so not the best to call upon when in need!!

I was out yesterday morning, walking in the forest beyond Lysos and had a very close encounter with two of them. They came right over my head at tree top height, creating a tremendous whirlwind, and hovered just over a field next to me. As I had a camera and binoculars I was concerned it was me they were interested in so I remained by a tree for a while and they took off and went away. They were back within two minutes though and then landed in the field. Again I stayed where I was as they appeared to pick a soldier up and took off. The noise was deafening and the dust from the wind was very unpleasant but they then went off and didn't come back.

Yes. They're still very active. Two went around the lighthouse again yesterday afternoon, and then - possibly the same two - buzzed Tomb of the King's Road at about 11pm last night!
I saw what looked like a military transport plane landing at PFO this morning.

Well there’s a military airbase at Paphos airport. They share the runway facilities with the normal civilian commercial arcraft.
