Though not specifically another nail in UK business, it will cause a lot of hardship in northeast England, still one of the unemployment blackspots in the UK. Originally the Tudor crisp factory, latterly taken over by Walker's, it's been in Peterlee for decades. Often under threat of closure, followed by recruitment, then closure again - I hope the factory can be saved again. Perhaps Gary Lineker could 'chip' in to help?

Given that their product contribute quite significantly to Britain's obesity problem, surely the decline in crisp sales should be seen as a good thing?

Agreed.

I hate to see young kids stuffing their faces with crisps.

Mind you if Walkers dumped Lineker, they may have enough money to open another factory.
