Let's hope the government puts in plans for desalination plants for the future. I seem to remember that the desalination plant near Kouklia, destined for the Paphos area, was decommissioned after the contract period and now the building lies empty.

Unfortunately, average rainfall is decreasing in Cyprus and water demand is increasing, just like many other areas in the world.

If Turkey wasn't ruled by a despot and Cypriots could agree amongst themselves, using the pipeline from Turkey would solve all the problems
