Is the hospital pharmacy closing to out patients?

Apologies if this has been already been asked and answered but I am conflicted.

I saw that the pharmacy had been extended and wondered why, if the pharmacy will be closed to out patients, this would have been necessary! It doesn’t make any sense. 😳

If this is the case, does anyone have any information as to when it might close :?:

Thank you 🙂

I have no information as to When it may close, but, like you i have heard that it is closing to outpatients..
A private pharmacist we use confirms this but does not have any dates.. It is going to be a big inconvenience to the outpatients who attend the General..

We were there today and spoke to the consultant who is treating Ann. He told me the pharmacy will close to outpatients but has no idea when. He says everything is a little confused there.

I don't doubt that it will close, but it does seem a crazy decision... The scenario is... you are attending as an outpatient, and get a prescription.. You then have to go and find a pharmacy in town somewhere. And yes I do know that there are plenty to choose from.. But as far as I know all of them close for 2 hrs in the middle of the day !!!!
The pharmacy I spoke to said, Ah, but we are open until 7pm.. Agreed, but I am not going to be coming away from the Hospital outpatients at that time :-(
