Had a strange phone call from Cyta yesterday and I wondered if there might be a scam going round. I couldn’t quite understand the caller as he had a very strong accent but he asked me several questions concerning an update of my line and said the adjustment wouldn’t take long. He then asked me for my mobile number and said they would ring to let me know when they would be coming to do the work.

Dont worry its all kosher, they will ring you up to arrange a time when your in, they came to my house and others in our street, and did something to the sockets, im not that technical but I think its split the line, into an internet line and a phone line, doesn't cost you a cent.

Thank goodness, that’s certainly put our minds to rest as one cannot be too careful these days!!

We had the same call about a couple of months ago, checked with Cyta all above board. Engineer came round at the appointed time, it took him longer to take the lead out of the packet than it did to fit it about 2 minutes in total.
