Old Shackleton planes..now gone.

Do you know when were they removed.. ?? They were still there two years ago.

If you look on Google Earth, they show up at the western end of the runway. Imagery was February 2017.

They were there very recently, may have been moved to a different spot on the airport.

This youtube video was only posted 8/2/2019 and they can be clearly seen as the light aircraft takes off. You have to select to watch video on youtube as owner has prevented being watched from other sites

They used to be parked up just past the sewerage works and could be seen from the road/track running down to the Ezousa river. I can't say I noticed them when I was down a few weeks ago but will look more closely next time I go!

Something we always saw if we arrived or departed through Paphos and when collecting and returning our holiday visitors to the airport. However, we always used LCA after we came to live in Cyprus in 2004 as the places we wanted to go only went from there. So we lost touch with those planes...

They were there a few weeks ago.

Went for a drive past the Sewerage Works yesterday and the planes are still there, parked up just past the Works. Whilst there I spotted a group of Spur-winged Lapwings Vanellus spinosus enjoying themselves in the flooded fields, here's one of the photos I took

Fantastic picture. I spotted a pair of eagrets in this area last winter. However, Have not been out on my bike yet as many of the tracks are flooded.
