I am taking my wife out for a meal and there is also the added bonus of a quiz at the same place, my wife loves quizzes so it will be a double treat.
We go to this quiz every Thursday and as its fell on Valentines day its worked out a treat for me also.

I've booked a table for tonight, I hope my wife enjoys herself, because she has never played snooker before.

First time in 50+ years but wife said I am treating you to a meal today. Not one to turn down an offer I chose the Star Inn in Stoney Stanton where my daughter recently moved to. They serve Mild beer which I was weened on but very few pubs sell it today. Any expats drunk it?

Small world - I used to live in Stoney Stanton! Know the pub well, although I'm sure it's changed a lot since I was last there. Used to be a Marston's pub. Never got the hang of mild, but Pedigree is certainly one of my favorites.

I got NADA, nothin, niet. He is a queer b*gger?
It may be a Tuesday in March . . . . Or a Friday in October and he will walk in with a huge bunch of flowers . . . Out of nowhere and says "I love you Mag."
He's done that for 42 years now, apart from the ONE year he did it on St Valentine's day, So I just put up with him! Regardless.

Maggie B
PS. I know.. . . . . . . . . He must have done something wrong the ONE year he got the day right!
And trust me, he is too old now to get it wrong on a Tuesday in March or a Friday in any Month of the year to get into trouble.
