Here, in Mosfiloti, the overnight temperature drop to 3.4° C on one weather station, 3.2° C on the second weather station and 2.7° C on the third weather station which was some distance from the other two. The coldest night this winter! These temperatures were all in the time range of 6:55 to 6:59 and it stayed below 4° C with all three systems right up to 8:22.

Yes, currently 12.2°, 12.3° and 12.1°C respectively at 12:04. Inside, we are higher than you, but we feel the cold as we are well into our 80s and need to maintain 23°C in the living room and office for minimal comfort but 21°C elsewhere in the house (except bathroom during showers!).

The best thing we ever did was get underfloor heating installed when the house was getting built; nice and cosy.

We too are very pleased that we got Central Heating installed during the building of our home. But of equal or more importance is insulating your property as much as you can.. fortunately we have a loft / false roof and the ceiling has 6 inches of insulation..

Just seen the temperature in Paphos at 10.30 pm for you. 8 degrees! I am in Christchurch, Dorset and it is also 8 degrees!!! Not sorry we returned a couple of weeks ago. This has been a very wet and now cold winter for Cyprus so far I think. Hope it passed soon.

You lot make me laugh and I mean that in a nice way because you are a good bunch. Too warm in summer and too cold in winter

think the Island could do with as much rain as it could give this winter as there has not been much over last few years.

I agree with your remarks above if only I had a lovely well insulated house. That's the problem. I am usually in Paphos for 10 weeks returning to the UK before Christmas and I find myself longing for my comfortable, centrally heated house! Even though I know I won't be sitting out in the midday sun till we return to Cyprus in April.

If you did not insulate your house at build stage, there is the possibility of adding external insulation.

Today, at the same time, 11.1°, 11.1° and 10.4°C respectively: getting colder

Happily, not much wind!

British people have to talk about the weather, no matter what country they are in. Are you honestly trying to tell me that you don't talk about the weather back in the UK?

It was the "warm"

wind from our Paphos area as the temperature at 4 AM was 10c, high above Paphos, much warmer that the previous week...
Sunfresh weather station near the Mall of Paphos shows as lowest 13.9c last night....
and I have the feeling that this December was warmer than p.e. 2012 with frozen barrels that time a year.
