Fascinating live camera: Etna eruptions....

On Monday Etna volcano, the highest and most active volcano in Europe erupted again... Today I found this fascinating live camera showing what is happening right now... are we not lucky to have none of that in Cyprus?

Well, it is a live webcam and at this moment one can see only rain/snow and nothing else. In the morning when I discovered this link I have seen a powerful eruption with a fireball and very noisy as well. The camera is very close to the volcano at 2250 m sea level at the station of the cable car.

I still recall how fascinating it was when our cruise ship sailed past the foot of Stromboli at around 01:00hrs as it silently spit red hot lava into the pitch darkness above us after leaving Naples and the memories of Pompeii.
Very eerie and absolutely awesome!
