We set off at 10am this morning for Paphos and I had a pullover and coat on.. But when walking the dog near Universal I was down to short shirt sleeves

I like a good storm, but not when it cuts my power! (Twice now!)

Lighting strike on our circuit breaker Tuesday morning, second time in three years . Sat with candle light in the evening . Had a extension lead from the villa next door for lighting yesterday . New trip switch fitted this morning, nice to have the power back on .

As I write at 18:15, the temperature is 11.4° C and we have just had a 3.3 mm rainfall with one clap of thunder.

So glad I’ve been away for last 10 days or so

My wife is at the airport waiting for her flight back to the UK to land ……………… it's just been diverted to Larnaca!

Hmmm. not Good, I wonder what Paphos airport do in that situation ??

Nothing! EasyJet have arranged a hotel for the night and transport, the flight is rescheduled for 1pm on Friday. Ironically, she has been booked into the Agapinor hotel which is a 5 minute walk from where we live!

I have been diverted to Larnaca after Pafos airport was fogbound, the pilot tried a few times to land but gave up and flew onto Larnaca, it was a hair-raising experience if I had any hair, they coached us all back to Pafos international this was in the late 1990's.
