Where can I get TCP

Every time we get a sore throat, we gargle with TCP which kills off any germs and nine times out of ten, prevents problems. Unfortunately, we haven't seen it anywhere here - including the pharmacies. Has anyone else seen it somewhere?

Would imagine it does. Grappa does the same thing in Italy and indeed I rubbed it on a tooth abscess whilst there that the dentist wanted to do a root canal to cure. Went back ready for the the treatment and he told me it had gone . Mind you he couldn't believe it was a two day treatment of Grappa taken both internally ( purely for the pain you understand ) and externally that did the trick but I knew better.
Cheers
Mike

We used to be able to get TCP here many years ago, but I've not been able to find a pharmacy who sells it. I get it sent by Amazon (as the seller) who will deliver to Cyprus.

Thank you all who responded. We live in Polis, and believe it or not, we have 6 pharmacies here, none of which sell TCP. However, I was in Paphos this afternoon and managed to get TCP from a pharmacy on the Polis Road. For those who want to know, it's the pharmacy near the traffic lights and the speed bump where Paps bakery is located on the corner. There were 3 bottles left after I purchased mine...

Try Zivinia, it apparently has the same effect
Probably a similar effect in that one forgets about the sore throat!

Personally, I No longer use the likes of TCP as they have been superceeded by some newer and very effective medicine such as Cold and Flu Guard which is a spray which you spray into your nostrils and the back of your throat. It's amazing stuff if you use it soon after the first hint of cold or flu symptoms appear, It protects and prevents. I have also found that Covonia Throat Spray works very well for an actual sore throat, I spray it topically onto the back if the throat. It relieves any pain and discomfort.
In fact both these medicines are easier to use than the traditional type of gargle.
