More shops than ever will participate in Black Friday this year after witnessing last year's immense success when businesses made around €14 million just in credit card payments, the retailers' association said on Monday.According to the general secretary of the retailers' association, Marios Antoniou, last year's Black Friday sales exceeded expectations....

I will not be purchasing anything this Friday until it is rebranded white Friday as I find it offending.

Not really. A lot of it is stock clearance. Better to sell at a slight loss than not at all.

I looked at one website I regularly use for online purchases, to see if I could get a Black Friday bargain and the same item I had delivered last week has gone up by €2 a box.
