Air Concentrator ...

My wife is going to need oxygen eighteen hours a day for the next two months, when she is discharged from Paphos Hospital. There appear to be two alternatives - an oxygen tank (which will have to be collected three times a week from Paphos) or an “air concentrator”, where the oxygen is generated from the air. The air concentrator seems much more practical.
Does anyone know where we can, ideally, hire one or buy one at a reasonable cost? Any suggestions welcome, as Ann cannot leave hospital until we can source one.

Air Concentrator: You will need a prescription from the doctor which states the concentration of oxygen required (litres/minute). It may work out cheaper to buy than hiring one for two months and well worth discussing the options rather than just go by the websites
Opposite Paphos General Hospital is a medical supplies shop called Procopiou Medishop Ltd. You can purchase air concentrator machines from there. Very helpful and informative staff. Not sure if they also hire out machines

This company provides a rental service:

How portable do you want the device to be? Some can only be used in the home. Others can be taken outside of the home and are either on a trolley or carried as a haversack. Battery can be recharged from a car's cigarette lighter.

It’ll be clearer tomorrow when I talk to the people at the hospital. Many thanks for the links.

All sorted and a local Polis charity will let us borrow their machine for as long as we need it. I’m picking it up tomorrow morning, buying a nebuliser from the pharmacy and then collecting Ann and bringing her home. The week she endured at Paphos General was dreadful (with some exceptions) and some of the staff should really consider whether they are following the right profession.

Pleased to read you have the use of a machine for as long as you need it. Hope Ann is now home and wishing her a speedy recovery.

Thank you for that. We are amazed by the good wishes we have received and the generous offers of help and advice. She is at home now and that makes such a difference.
