However, the MSM homes in one which happens to suit their leftist agenda, that is, to insinuate that, because a majority of voters in the UK wanted out of the EU, the result is a real and substantial increase in racially motivated attacks.

Ipso facto- of course- the UK should never have had the referendum, or it should keep running it till we get the “right” result.

BTW, and in spite of their best efforts, the UK leaves the EU in 151 days.

To say there has only been two attacks this year is laughable; I told you what happened to my friend so that's a 50% increase on the numbers you're quoting. It's no good pretending it's not happening, it is and many are not bothering to report it. As I've said many times; denialism is a state of mind for many Leavers and comments on here prove it. I never said it didn't exist prior to the vote but it has spiked since the referendum as the link showed. It's not my prejudices you have to worry about it's your fellow Brexiteers who are doing the abusing.

You don't have to take my word for it, just Google Racist Attacks since Brexit and you get hundreds of pages confirming what everyone is telling you.
And Yes, I am suggesting that racist attacks by xenophobic racists are carried out by people who would support Brexit whether they be from the right or left of politics. I take it you are joking about Remain voters being xenophobic racists; that is definitely a new angle I've never considered?

I wouldn't be so foolish as to even think xenophobic, racialist tendencies are the sole preserve of people who want Brexit but I wouldn't be so foolish to try and pretend and justify nothing has changed since the referendum.
The evidence is there for all to see; if they want to of course.

Too many listened to Farage about getting rid of immigrants with the Brexit vote and seem to think it's perfectly fine to spout racist comments at people who may have a different skin colour to theirs or speak with an accent, no matter where they were born or what they contribute to society.
The rest of them are all Tommy Robinson fans - he uses a plain old name because his other one would be far too posh for the numpties to take note of what he says.

Im sure theres a couple here and there, Elam members, that would like to, smack a few English speaking expats, but the reason they dont is the vast majority of Cypriots would not stand for that nonsense, the trouble back in the UK is,, the nutters that think its alright to attack people speaking in a foreign language have used the climate, during and after the Vote, ....which gave these morons the excuse they wanted
