Complex management seminar

The Almyra hotel in Paphos is the venue for a free seminar to be held in November covering communal ownership, management committees and general management of communal areas.


A FREE SEMINAR entitled “Complex Management: A brief analysis of the law, practical issues and myths relating to communal ownership, Management Committees and general management of the communal areas” is to be held in Paphos.

Organised by L.G. Zambartas LLC, the seminar will be held on Wednesday 14 November at the Almyra hotel in Paphos (12, Poseidonos Avenue) starting at 17:30.

Topics to be discussed include:

* Communal buildings
* Formation & operation of management committees
* Financial liabilities (insurance & the allocation of common expenses)
* Swimming pool licenses

The seminar will be conducted in English.

The speakers are Ms Afroditi A.Charalambides and Ms Christiana Achilleos, both of whom are senior lawyers with the law firm of L.G. Zambartas LLC (which is one of the law firms on the list of English-speaking lawyers provided by the UK Foreign and Commonwealth Office.)

Attendees will have an opportunity to discuss any specific issues with the speakers over tea and biscuits, both before and after the seminar.

Can you tell us what the outcome/what advice was given about the swimming pool issue?

In reality how many pools are actually used on these complexes especially the smaller ones.............

I wonder how many of the 160 are run by developers or companies belonging to them, and how many are independent or run by the property owners.

Can anyone point me to where the figure of 160 notices comes from. I property manage at a lot of complexes and only 1 has gone down the lifeguard route and only that one because of the threat perceived, not because they were served with any kind of notice. I am yet to come across one that has actually been 'served' with anything. I would be interested to know if anyone has received this notice on their complex.
