I read an article the other week that said Paphos had a very high percentage of drug users and they are just as or more so dangerous than a drunk driver ........

I have noticed recently a number of drivers on the right hand side of the road then having to swerve to avoid oncoming traffic. Europeans more used to driving on the right or drunk or just stupid?
It all adds up to very poor driving habits.

Using a mobile phone, no searbelt, kids in the front, etc, etc.

How much longer will this country continue to be a backward nation?

Is there a country in the World which does not have accidents brought about by bad driving? It's easy to think that your own neck of the woods is the worst.
Bad driving is everywhere, I find Cambridge worse than Paphos. Youth, money and arrogance are no match for education in the stupidity stakes. I have seen some spectacular accidents, worthy of film stunts. I rate Cambridge as around India in the driving stakes, how more people aren't killed is a miracle, I think the heavy traffic and the traffic control in the centre stop more cyclists being wiped out, though a lot of them need a boot up the ****.

With bad driving the driver has the ability to control the vehicle but fails to control it properly, whereas drunk/drug driving the driver has totally lost the ability to control the vehicle.
I disagree. You can be drunk and still able to control a car to a point. Worse, you may think you are really good driver when you have had a few.

And if you assume that if you are able to start a car and drive down the road, then you are not drunk, that is a dangerous route to take.
