Man size tissues

Am I alone in getting totally fed up with having to be being politically correct?

Mansize tissues about to be renamed to avoid upset........

Manhole covers will become inspection hatches........

Gender neutral toilets.....

Children assessed on there sexuality in primary schools.....

I can give many more examples, my feeling is the minority is now ruling the silent majority,

How can we stop this madness!!!

Or am I old fashioned

No you aren't being old fashioned. However, a few people can make a lot of noise on social media, and because they can do it as a group they have power over individual users.

It is ridiculous now though. There was a Canadian man who chose to identify as a woman, and was thus able to enter women's sporting events. They are now world champion. Twice the size of the competition, but so long as they are happy, what does it matter eh?

Sorry, but the criteria for sports should be based on biology.

This whole business of gender equality is beyond a joke. Living in Cyprus I am so glad that it hasn’t happened here, nor has the other rubbish in the UK about being ‘politically correct’!
I much prefer the laid back slightly anarchic attitude here...

I hope not, The only underlying problem here is a little xenophobia by a section of the population. But I don’t see much sign of gender equality or of of people being politically correct. On many topics there is a general ‘laisez faire’ attitude amongst most people. let it be!
At times the courts make surprising judgements in what sound like serious breaches of the law.

Political correctness = one of the many reasons I left UK in 2007 :?

Long may Cyprus continue to ignore this topic :)

It’s just laughable the lengths one has to go to to avoid accidentally insulting someone when in the UK......by some innocent remark! It’s even more difficult when coming from Cyprus where there isn’t a problem.

Absolutely bloody bonkers I would call it Dee, pure crazy. Underused civil servants looking for ways to justify their existence, and stupid overpaid bosses listening to them!!

Happy in Cyprus wrote: Fri Oct 26, 2018 3:22 pm A retired lawyer customer of ours, who had a wonderful sense of humour, defined policial correctness thus:

"Political correctness is a doctrine fostered by a delusional minority and promoted by a sick mainstream media, which holds that it is entirely possible to pick up a piece of s**t by its clean end".

He gave an example of political correctness, when addressing other workers;

Correct: "I am sure you will agree that you require further training in this area of our operations"

Incorrect: "You have no f***king idea have you"?
Yes,brilliant. But never the less the good folk in the UK will go to the polls at the next general election ,vote for one of the three main parties and get more of the same.Mmmmm,so whats the answere..

Good point Chaddy.

Somehow the silent majority need to find a voice, trouble is anyone sticking their head above the parapet, has it shot off!!

I like to read the comments section on articles, it is clear that when PC issues are discussed, the majority speak up, but under anonimity for fear of reprisal.

I have to say I'm staggered at the amount of times I'm saying "I can't believe it".
I'm turning into a comedian, but sadly the little grey cells are fading and I can't remember his name
