Cyprus second to last in EU pesticide sales

This all seems logical to me. Malta is the smallest state in the EU and is quite built up these days, so must have the smalleast agricultural area. Cyprus is also small compared with large agricultural producing countries such as Spain, France, Germany etc. No wonderthey both use less. But I suspect that many farmers in Cyprus still use a lot of artificial pesticides and fertilizers... I always wash fruit and veggies thoroughly.
