Is this really appropriate behaviour for a President of the United States or any other senior dignitary for that matter?

Yes, just lower and lower.
Still odds-on the Senate will back his choice of Supreme court judge.
I went into a second-hand shop in Kato P yesterday and saw a copy of Fire and Fury - new book about the White House - Wolff. 20 pound new a couple of months' ago. I got it for 10 cents! ok. ) In fact, the lady at the counter asked me if I liked Trump, and she was so delighted that I hated him, she gave me the book for free. Should provide a good read, as I have several flights coming up over the next couple of weeks.

Trump should have kept his loose mouth shut.

That said, I find it very odd that the accuser has waited until now, to make her allegations just at a crucial moment in a man's career.

Quite so, but if she had reported him to the police when it happened, they might have had evidence and prosecuted him, that's why I find it odd, why now ?

Why now? Probably because of the job he is being put forward for? It's a job that requires a great deal of integrity.
