Dam levels extremely low despite recent rainfall

Sceneries of drought even in mountain areas are forming all over Cyprus due to the extended summer, Phileleftheros reports.According to the Water Development Department, dam fullness levels in Cyprus are at 14,8%.Despite the early September rainfall, fullness levels in Cypriot dams are lower than last year's 18,5%....

Drove down into Asprokremmos Dam yesterday & the water level is a very low, there is no water anywhere near the abandoned village of Foinikas at the moment!

Water level at Argaka yesterday. You can clearly see where it should be when full.

Let’s pray for decent rain this coming winter, the reservoirs certainly need it! It worries me driving through some of the villages the way some people are using hoses full on to wash everything in sight, their patios,yards, paths, pavements and the road outside as if the water supplies were abundant!
