Fire breaks out in Pegeia forest

A??fire broke out??in Pikni forest, in Pegeia, Paphos district.Assisting the fire department were the forestry department, the game service, as well as local residents, who have been further assisted by two Kamov 32 helicopters.Excursionists who were in the wider forest area informed the authorities, which were immediately mobilised....

It its arson I hope that they catch the perpetrators.
Sometimes fires ‘break out’ in areas where developers would like to build but can’t get permission....

The area is called Pikni Forest. There is also a well designed and safe picnic area there but not sure if the fire broke out there.
