My forecast shows the possibility of showers from Friday afternoon through to Monday. Sunday has the most chance of rain and the biggest potential rainfall, if it happens! Any showers will be sporadic and local; you may be lucky or you may be unlucky (depending on whether you want rain or not!)

I never understand why people come to Cyprus because, amongst other reasons, of the sun. They then complain about the heat and pray for rain. Then when it does rain, they complain that their pool is now full of dust, and too cold to swim in.
I guess, in a nutshell, that is what being British is all about. If it wasn't for the weather there would be no conversation at all.

Yes, turbulent weather can stir up the sand and sediment and make snorkelling crap and hazardous! A friend of mine is a dive instructor and some days the diving visibility is very limited but he still has to look after several other divers underwater although visibility may be down to a few feet!

I went for a swim at Timi beach this morning at 8am. I did it last Friday and the water was so calm and crystal clear, I didn't want to get out. Today it looked calm from a distance, but there was a bit of swell which had stirred up all the sand, I couldn't see the bottom even in the shallows, and the visibility was just as bad as far out as the swimmers buoys.
I have swum/snorkelled in the rain, and I'm sure will do so again, but it also depends on other conditions. And I wouldn't be in the water if there was a chance of lightening...

Not on this forum, as far as I am aware. I was taking the broader view.
