Paphos Life

We're now down to a couple of months before we move from the South East of England to Paphos. It seems like it's about time to start booking our removal company. Recommendations?

Oh that's not good. I've duly corrected my post but it doesn't seem to correct the titles in the responses.

We were also very happy with the Chudley / Peter Morton combo. We also got Chudley to do all the packing - it took 3.5 days - and nothing was broken.

I used Chudley, I think their title is Chudley International, in the UK who partner with Peter Morton Removals , Paphos based. Both were excellent, everything arrived safely in Paphos.
I reckon that they are your best bet. Of course you can also get quotes from other UK removal companies too.

We have used Peter Morton in Paphos twice now, and we would recommend them. So we would contact Chudley as well.

We used Britannia when we moved from UK to Limassol in 2004, they worked in association with Columbia at the Cyprus end.
Going back to UK in April 2016, although a bit more expensive than Columbia quoted us we chose Peter Moreton in conjunction with Chudley.
We were happy with all of the service companies we used on both occasions. Nothing broken either!

Find your local BAR [ British Association of Removers ] they will have a connection over here. Our stuff was delivered this end by Orbit but you can do everything locally at your end. No complaints. If you have more than one locally you may get the price down.

Many thanks for the recommendations all. We contacted PMR who asked us to contact Chudleys as we were doing UK to CY. We've done that and are just waiting for them to come back to us with a time when they'll come and quote. Thanks again.

Just a word of caution Robert.The removal firms are not insured for your property in transit but they do of course provide quotes for you and it is quite expensive on top of the basic cost.

I’m sure that Chudley’s will explain all that. They did with me. Obviously it depends on the value and nature of what you will be taking. From our experience it may be worth pruning what you want to bring with you to what you think you will actually need. They will discuss with you what size container you will need.

I too found it strange that insurance is an extra. But we didn't take out insurance and I don't think anything was damaged..
