I "stumbled" across this sometime ago

No idea the age, however, if I had to hazard a guess, it seems to have a 60's look about it

Maybe we could all have a look for old pictures of the harbour and post them on here and then our super webmaster could make a chronological web blog page out of them ?

I also stumbled across this early colour photo looking from the back of the castle this time

I assume it was taken from a helicopter or a small aircraft

There is something wrong with the last pic- the bay is in the wrong direction. Must have gotten mirrored.

I agree, the negative must have been placed the the wrong way around when the photo was being developed.

I wonder if this one is also in the 30's, it shows the road to the harbour, on the left the recently demolished warehouses....

Thank you, MM telling me, interesting, I thought it was older, no cars at all.....as this was my first year in Cyprus (Kyrenia) there were loads of cars on the roads, even at dawn...

It would be a lovely idea. However, if I did an official page the old issue of copyright would rear it's ugly head.

If people post a link to where the image came from, then that would help, as I would be able to contact site owners etc and ask for permission.

I'm not saying don't post here. Far from it. Carry on etc. I mean if you want them added, for instance to a new section in the photo gallery, then include a link.

Um the admin account was used because I was doing some forum admin at the time (to do with the search index). It wasn't used for any other reason than that, if you think it looks a bit too official. :)
