After insuring with a variety of insurance companies on the island, it was recommended to me by word of mouth, that I try Top Quotes in Paphos, which I did. A principally British outfit, with British staff, I found them to be polite, friendly, and very helpful.

However, the crunch came, when, within the space of a year, I had a minor accident in the car, the house was damaged during a storm, and then to cap it all we were burgled, and lost a few thousand euros worth of possessions.

In each case, one of the staff, Mrs. Sam Range handled the claim, and whilst I am sure that the remainder of the staff are equally as efficient, it is to her that I am grateful. She guided us patiently through the relevant procedures, and always answered any queries promptly, so that in each case, we were duly reimbursed for our losses.

Because insurance providers are normally regarded with profound suspicion and mistrust, I am putting this on the blog, because I can, without hesitation, recommend both Top Quotes, and the assistance of Sam without reservation.

i can wholeheartedly second that, we had a bad car crash four years ago, and thy were brilliant. So helpful and very professional and friendly.

I insured my old banger with the same insurance company for six years.When I came to sell I had five months left on the insurance.I did,not get another car so asked for five months rebate...Not a cat in hells chance.
I,ll not name and shame but advise that when taking out car insurance make it clear what their rebate for unused part of the policy is.

I agree the first post does look like a little self-promoting first post and all, but no matter what insurance agency you chose make sure you read the small print, all take your hard earned cash off you in a flash. I still use the same company I have used for 8 years (Abbygate) and will, for now, continue with them, they always answer any questions I have had to ask and always get fast Emails from them, I had a small accident that a lady driver did and they handled that amicably. Thank goodness for my Dash-Cam, This is my experience with them. I may shop around next time.

I too may shop around this time. I pay for protected no claims bonus.. But this year the premium has risen from €380 last year up to €450 ..
