This heat now came for a sudden with temperature already hitting this years maximum in the morning..
Image

As I felt sorry for my dog Lucky last year I bought an air-cooler specially for her. Today I moved the unit onto the patio where the dog has his area and immediately she went in front of the machine after I switched on.
Image

and after a couple of minutes falling half asleep...
Image

but no wonder as the temperature from the air-cooler blowing at her was only 27c, which is a big drop from the 36c.
Image

here one can see the wind lifting the hair and no fly at all, which is an extra bonus
Image

so she will relax all day long like that...

and telling me: don't switch off, pleeeeeeeeease

George the Pigeon / Dove seems to relish the sun. He spends half the day sunbathing.

She certainly has the correct name Lucky bless her......they do find it so hot but somehow they sort of adjust......it’s their paws
that can burn on hot surfaces ........

One lucky mutt!!

I'll keep posting this, if you put the back of your hand on the floor and cannot keep it there for 10 seconds ITS TOO HOT TO WALK YOUR DOG!!! It can burn its paws!! Please tell your Cypriot neighbours.

Wait til the cool of the evening, or give the walk a miss, the dog won't mind, honest!!

Funny, this article was these days in a Swiss News Paper, OK German language but the pics are lovely.... and they mentioned that already 5 seconds too hot for the back of your hand is a indication that it's too hot for the dogs paws
