How strange. Weather underground isn’t showing anything like that. Mostly 27/28degs.

The article mentioned 30 for the West coast.

I agree with Louise. I use weatherunderground too, and these temperatures quoted in the artical are more likely inland, ie Nicosia. Underground also says this, Paphos usually has weather about 6c cooler than Nicosia. What makes Paphos feel so unconfortable is high levels of humidity.

I can’t see the reason why anyone bothered to post this as temperatures inland around 40c are fairly normal in August, especially around Nicosia.
It’s when we have temperatures around 40c + in Paphos that we call it a heatwave!
