Took 3 years Hudswell, did not use a solicitor, a Cypriot friend helped fill in the forms.
The office on the first floor above the tax office were very helpful.
Check for 1150 euros deposited yesterday.

Yes we did it ourselves, you need a Greek speaker to translate the form but it's quite easy it just wants name, address, tax ref no etc you need a receipt from your developer for the Tax you have paid, a copy of your title deeds and a letter from the electricity board to say when you took possession and that you have paid the bills since then. It did however take a couple of days running around so if you can find someone who will do it for a small fee it's worth paying them. Last time we asked at the tax office and they recommended a young lady who did it for £50 Cyprus pounds.
Gary.

We took ours in earlier this week. Told to expect it in about 2 years! The forms only require tax number, name address in general. You can use Google translate. Most of the stuff on the forms do not require filling in. You need to get a paper from land registry to say your contract was deposited. Need passports for that and return to collect in 10 days. So do that first. You need receipt for payment of IPT from developers, electric bill, contract of sale. The IPT office on 1st floor, immediately on left as you exit lift, will give you forms and explain what you need. It wasn't difficult just a bit time consuming.

Yes, did it ourselves and took 2 years exactly to receive our cheque. Really quite easy, think we got the translated form from Nigel Howarth's website, copy receipt from developer of fees paid and Contract of Sale. Admittedly, we did visit Tax Office a few times to check up progress, got fobbed off a few times, then after taking advice off here last year, we asked which queuing pile our application was in, piles on the desk or had we hit the computerised list, and waited until we got a definite answer. Sure enough cheque arrived 2 months later. Result!
