When other people rightly decide to stay at home and have the air-con running as advised from the Gov., I had yesterday the crazy idea to go for a trip. As football is having a break I thought it is a good idea to indulge in one of my hobbies: Mineral search. Well, crashing one big bolder at a promising site with my walking stick I managed to rescue very fragile Selenium crystals which were inside a cavity of this rock. This made my day....

What I like a lot is the ant on the left hand side ...so one gets a better picture how tiny the crystals are...

Not so delicate but also interesting

If I play around too much it will fall apart eventually

Thank you. I was just reading on Wiki that โ€œSome of the largest crystals ever found are selenite crystals โ€“ the largest specimen found in the Naica Mine's Cave of the Crystals is 12 metres long and weighs 55 tonsโ€.

That would make your ant look super tiny ๐Ÿ˜‚ ...

Ha,ha, that made me play with this shot again and the result is quite nice as the photo is quite focused. Thank you also for the interesting infos about the Mexican mine, very exiting (for me :) )
