The 'Isis Beatles' as they are known, should suffer a similar death to the ones they subjected innocent people to, unfortunately they won't. How M.P.s such as Dianne Abbot can shout about the death penalty in Parliament, knowing full well the terrible deaths these in-human creatures inflicted on British, and other aid workers is beyond me.

I'm all for total retribution for people who commit atrocious acts but am not convinced execution solves the problem. However I am sure that families who have suffered would feel a damn site better. I know I would. Victims of crime are to often forgotten

Indeed Jackie, if it were her husband or offspring who had had their throat cut from ear to ear, would she say differently? I suspect she would.
None of us know how we would react in such a ghastly situation, however, one of the few unfortunate people who have been there, is the mother of James Foley, the American journalist whose utterly hideous death was filmed and broadcast world wide.
She has made it very clear that she opposes a death sentence...........for the very wise reason it will turn his murderers into martyrs.
I believe she is correct.
Frankly I think it was a major mistake not to ensure a battlefield accident for them..............that not having occurred, a life time in solitary in an American high security prison seems a reasonable option.........in every sense of the word.

That's one very forgiving lady, had it been my Son or Husband I would think very differently.

So what if we loose a couple of 'martyrs', they do not deserve to live as I see it. Yes a 'battlefield accident' would have been ideal, but someone would have had to have carried it out. As it is, a lifetime in a USA jail means money spent on keeping them, for what purpose, money wasted.

If they are executed then they will BECOME martyrs, and only sow more dragons' teeth.
Best, if they couldn't be lost in the fog of war, they are left to languish for the rest of their rotten lives in a very unpleasant US maximum security prison.

Hudswell wrote: Wed Jul 25, 2018 8:05 pm I tend to agree "Martyrdom" would be an extremely short lived phenomenon....although I don't necessarily agree with them being executed....life, in a high security US prison would I have no doubt be a living hell for this scum....execution is the easy way out. Once we took these animals off the field of Battle we lost the opportunity to deal "appropriately" with them as combatants...justice now needs to be done, fairly and impartially or we sink to their level...and I am pleased to see the UK Government is happy to provide any assistance the US courts may need...and utter shame and contempt for the likes of Dianne Abbott...and if I hear about their "Human Rights" one more time, the TV is in danger of a boot going through it! They have lost those rights and the rights to humanity.
Well said Hudswell.... agree with it all...
