This is from a story in the PafosPress, but it doesn't say where in Paphos it is!!
My guess was the stairs coming up from the Hamam.

Could it be the stairs going up to the Muse restaurant from down where the BOC HQ is?

This is the end of the article...………
Where the photo is shot we leave it on you! However, it is next to a busy road!

As you walk up Gladstonis towards the old Town, after the market turn on the left, you reach this staircase on the right. I've climbed it a few times in the past. It's basically a short cut up to the back streets of the Old Town, on the coastal side, as it were.
Don't think I'd be able to ascend it now, what with COPD and there being no banisters to pull onto...
If I remember correctly, there used to be a smashing little Cypriot Pies and Cakes shop tucked away by the bottom of these stairs.

You've completely " lost me " Al.
I don't know street local names, so Gladstonis means nothing to me.

Yes, PaphosAL,, that's the area I was thinking of - nearly opposite M&S Food Hall there is a steep staircase which leads up to a street and from there you can walk to Kennedy Square.

@MM: The main road up from the harbour past the Mall. Then there's the left turn to the old Market, and straight on it becomes Gladstonis St, leading up to the Old Town main crossroads.

I looked on Google Earth and somehow got a sort of street view and there is definitely a cut through opposite M & S. It was being dug up at the time the photo was taken. Looks the same.
