It always seem strange to me that the person is not named when they have been found Guilty :-(

I suppose that when a place like Paphos is becomming a very popular holiday destination, its almost inevitable that a few of these tourists will behave badly/ cause problems when they are here. Hopefully if this particular man spent a night in the cells at the police station which won’t have been very pleasant, followed by a court appearance, it has made some impression on him! Wonder what nationality he was, presumably not British as that would have been mentioned in the report.

Surprised he wasn't escorted to the airport and banned from returning to Cyprus.

Whilst it is very good to see that the Cyprus Courts system can fast track cases on foreign nationals, why is it that other cases (and often simple ones) within Cyprus can take years and years to resolve?

The other issue is what use is a suspended sentence as a punishment when the chances are that this offender is most unlikely to return to Cyprus?

Possibly whatever he did wasn’t serious enough to warrent a prison sentence or a first offense? I hope that he was fined a substantial amount.
