I personally think it was more a case of Sweden losing the match more than Germany winning.
What a terrible shame they gave away a free kick at the last moment

Trev perhaps if Lustig instead of lunging in when he didn't need to and give away a silly foul Sweden wouldn't be having to defend a free kick. Why didn't he just run him to the goal line?

How many times do we see ultra professional footballers give away needless free kicks that cost their team dear?

Yes it was needless especially with only seconds to go and they were deservedly winning up until then

You must have watched a different game then, if Sweden deserved winning.. Some statistics: ball possession 70:30, shots on goal 18:7, inclusive one shot against the post, corners 7:3, not to forget Germany came from behind to win finally with only 10 men, even when it was lucky in the 95's minute.

Max, the winner is NOT who has the most possession of the ball or shots on target - Its who scores most goals in the game.
