Can anyone help this frustrated female with this problem. Am trying to complete tax form but have no idea where I get this number from concerning my English Government pension. The error says it’s a “max. 9 digits and 2 fractional digits and positive numbers do not need a sign” but looking at all paperwork I cannot see anumber as requested. Please help someone!!! Mandyr

your TIC (tax identification number) is the one given to you at the local tax office when you register with them to pay tax here instead of in UK. Once you have that you enter on the tax form in the box provided, then you fill in your form, Don't forget to change your pension that you receive, into euro! The tax office are very helpful if you have problems but you will need to go in to speak to someone. Good luck!

Is it mandatory to apply for such a number even you don´t have taxable income in Cyprus?

My understanding of the law is YES.. How can the tax people here know that you don't have taxable income if you don't fill in a form and prove it.?

Yes, if you live here for more than 183 days in a year.Even if you are under the tax threshold they will require a tax return. They may decide you don't need to file but that is their decision.
