Anybody got recommendations for checking and re-gassing the a/c in a car?

Thanks,

It's not for your Sprite, that's for sure!

Best bet is to get a ball park quote from a dealer for the make of car involved, then you have a benchmark to compare against other recommendations that PL members will be suggesting...

Cheers- AL :D

Wrong area for you, but had my refrigerant replaced/topped up call it what you like it was not working and needed 0.6 kgs to get it back to manufacturers levels, along with the standard flouro liquid to detect leaks and it was €60.
There is/should be/probably is a service plate in the engine compartment detailing the gas and quality needed.

Unfortunately, my service engineer has quit doing re-gassing your motor at home, so I went to Criss-cool, watch out though he usually insists the filter is changed, it cost me €25's and the cost of the re-gas of course, I could see no problems with that old filter. Also parking your motor there is decidedly bad. I will try the next time the electrical shop on the Tremithousa estate in the complex area. Who I used to change the AC unit on a Golf I had then, not a cheap job. But they did do good work.

The shop next to Costa's Tyres does it. Not a s cheap as Chris Cool but you pay your money and get what you pay for. We had ours done at Chris Cool and had no end of problems as a result.

Well, I agree with the last two recommendations and why I will use the one in the Tremithousa industrial estate. Sorry, do not have the contact.
