It's Friday night, its not so late, but its evident that some people have started on the Blue Nun early. Just remember you have to get up in the morning.

It certainly is Friday night, which normally means a G & T and a nice hot curry..... sadly, tonight we have no chicken to make said curry (blame it on the trip to Jersey last weekend) so that means the G & T is just fine (thank you Duty Free purchasing) but the food will be lasagne and garlic bread instead.
Who needs Blue Nun?
I'm so glad I can work my way through life on trivia and enjoyment - tomorrow is just another Saturday.... that means shopping at Morrison's and a visit to the same café that my parents frequented every Saturday for the last 30yrs.
Isn't life just great?

Jules, life is great when everyday is a holiday and you have no money worries.
Hope you enjoyed Jersey. You'll love it a lot better if you go in summer. Although last time I went (>15 years ago) to Jersey we did a day trip to Guernsey and found St Peter Port much nicer than St Hellier.
Doubt I'll ever go back to the Channel Isles but what comes around goes around ... 41 years after visiting the Isle of Wight for the first time I'm going back in June for the 2017 Isle of Wight Festival ... no Jimi Hendrix but Rod Stewart

We went for a special birthday celebration so unable to choose the season, sadly. Got a nice day for photos on Saturday so happy enough with that...
We will visit again in better weather but it didn't give us the impression of a place we would want to visit time and time again.

After a heavy Christmas and Birthdays month I am resigned to a "spirits-free February ". So after a pleasant day of chat and coffee with locals and friends and a drive and walk in the hills around the Evertou reservoir, what to do?
Fish'n'chip Friday? Meze? No, home-made curry and some great Greek Indienne rice we found in paps (and you thought her Apple pies were good Johnoddy).
And I've just found a bottle of Chardonnay in the fridge. Why didn't we do this sooner?

"Spirits free February" who are you trying to kid? You'll soon be back to your dirty little habit.......spoiling scotch by putting Coke in it!
Just to be on the safe-side; leave Kaye's apple pies out of it!......love you Kaye!!!!!

No, No, I 'm really committed this time, honest. She's asleep now but we have to discuss transferring some money this weekend.
Do you think if I offered to buy her a dishwasher? I'm not bothered really.
What about an SLK? She does like those and I do like Coca-Cola.
