Dust has been a severe problem in Cyprus this year. Caused by typhoons in North Africa, it has blighted many a day. Schools have had to keep their kids indoors, and workers have been forced to cease outdoor work.

To combat this dust, boffins in Nicosia have come up with a plan to create a dust reservoir in the Ezousa Valley. The bold plan will involve the erection of several new "dust busters". These will work in conjunction with existing technology.

This is the last thing I want that piles of dust and sand are covering my places where I explore for Amethyst crystals. On the other hand it makes perhaps sense for another dam as the Ezousa river runs all year long towards the sea and is only replenishing the water table in the Timi area. But then it will block Dominic's favourite off road route in this area.... :(

So the view through my office window will be different in the near future?
