In my place some km more to the South was obviously quite a wind as plastic chairs and flower pots changed their place...
Unfortunately only little rain of 4l/m2, but forecast for later on some more supposed to come (flood warning in place ??)
Paphos town had also only 5l/m2 at the Mall.

Cor, there was loads of rain up here. Never ceases to amaze me how varied the weather can be in such short distances here. That applies to geology and flora too.

indeed, they had in Polis, Papantoniou supermarket 15l/m2 and in Omodhos 27l/m2 but that is quite a distance from Polemi...(relative)

Here, 0.3 mm yesterday and 5.1 mm today, which is all we've had for the whole month :( There is still a possibility of a little this afternoon/evening but I anticipate only a couple of mm, at the most.

The wind (gale) didn't materialise over the last couple of days, either, with a max gust of 5.3 m/s.

Yes, also my place near Tsada Golf, had since 25.02. only 5 mm of rain including last nights. Much too less for the Asprokremnos Dam nearby.

There was a fantastic amount of Almond flowers this year [none last year] which all developed into Almond Nuts - a great harvest. Unfortunately, the wind in the last two days has knocked them all off. How sad. x

A bit of a storm this afternoon at Polemi. How can a Cyprus dog be frightened of thunder and lightening..

The wind was really howling and woke just after 1am which had me thinking “oh no, the pool cover”. Fortunately my rock based securing system stood up to the test.. Just. Wellied it down on and off all day with a huge blast of thunder whilst in the village school that made our teacher jump out of her skin.

I had another 5l/m2 rain last night - altogether the last 3 funny days only 10l/m2. Not enough for our Paphos dam but better than nothing. I bet a lot of drinking water will be wasted today in order to clear verandas etc from the red dust with the garden hose....

If you want any more for your Escargots à la Bourguignonne, you are welcome to continue hunting in our garden, where I estimate we have >10,000 of the beasties.

I once read it was pointless getting rid of slugs etc as you would never get rid of them all. One year, back in the UK, I went out every night and picked up all the slugs in our garden. I kept doing it night after night, and eventually, after a few months, they did stop appearing. And they didn't return the following year.

It can be done, you just need a lot of patience.
