First hot night this year ....

We had our first HOT night this year in the Paphos area with temperature right now of 21.4 c, up where I live near Tsada Golf.
Down in Paphos town near the Mall it is obviously even hotter as the weather station "Sunfresh Bakery" shows below, and that is 6.30 am. It is like mid summer....

Our room temperature never dropped below 72f last night, as posted the warmest night so far, but we all know what is coming along to a house near you very soon.

I monitored our temperature throughout the night and, yes, it was very warm. Nice though. We even had the windows open at one point.

We always have a window open. Like a bit of fresh air. The air is pretty good at the mo, according to the monitor, though Polis looks quite dusty.

We have a window open all the time in the UK, London.
Problem here is dust, insects and dogs barking. An open window in Paphos is a rare occasion.

Although you post no location, so I am not sure where 'here' is, although you mention London.
I assume you mean dust in Paphos. We have a bedroom window open most of the time. And in the Summer Months the Bedroom Patio door is open all the time we are at home including through the night.

Yippee - summer's on the way! Feels like Cyprus is coming out of hibernation. Enjoying the lovely flowers and birds as the countryside starts to bloom. March to May and September to November my favourite time of year.

>Max... what website did you use to get the "sunshine Bakery" data please?
It is from the website of KITAS weather :
http://www.kitasweather.com
If you scroll downward you will find the map of Cyprus with " Kitas weather stations " on it. If you click on Paphos it is the sunshine bakery, at Polis it is Papantoniou supermarket, Nicosia it's Pilakoutas BMW, and for Troodos peak it is the Jubelee Hotel and so on. I like this site very much as there is so much talk about our Cyprus weather and mainly it is a lot of guessing how much rainfall a certain area has for example... Most of the time these weather stations are working...

Dom- can we have a prominent current 'Dust Pollution' monitor link added to the top links, please?
Just so us old folks with chronic pulmonary disease can check on their wifi smartphone whether or not it's actually safe for them to go outside for a walk that day, when in Paphos?
Thanks- AL

If you bothered to look in the top links Al you would see that there are already two there. They've been there since the thread began.

I always look at the government site
https://www.airquality.dli.mlsi.gov.cy/
I can cope with the moderate levels of dust now,but avoid the high levels, such as those we had in February and a few years ago when planes were diverted because of the dust.

Thanks, Dom. But these 2 links are general weather-related. I'm looking for the sort of link that Max sometimes posts, giving prevailing atmoshperic dust levels over the Paphos region, and whether it's safe to go walkies outside (or not)...
As to AJ's post and link, Paphos is level 4 on air pollution again. A night to stay in your cosy A/C Hotel??

The easy one Alan is if you go on the PL webcam link and if you scroll down you find on the right hand side:
http://cyprus-storms.net/weathercams/index.html
There is a small display: Desert Dust forecast...
The complicated one is if you use the first on the PL top link,(air pollution in Cyprus) open it, click on Paphos, click on full report, scroll down and you will find: "view the detailed forecast", click on that and it will open a huge map where you can choose which pollution forecast you want to watch, for example when you click on PM 2.5, or PM 10, or O3 etc.
Right this moment it is hazardous in Paphos with terrible 707 PM 10!!!!!!

It's you lot! You wear me down.
Al, apologies if my comment sounded harsh. It wasn't meant to be. Follow Max's usual impeccable advice to drill down to the data you need. I can't include links to detailed pages, as that would result in 50 links.
Now, shall we all gather round for a dust-free group hug?
