Lovely photo Jim. I love this time of year when the poppies bloom, mixed in with all the other wild flowers. It really lifts the spirits.

We used to have a lovely display of poppies and other wild flowers in the field adjacent to where I live. Then a local farmer bought a little plough and he seems to delight in ploughing it several times a year, so very few wild flowers survive now except in the margins. I guess he does it to make picking carobs easier? But we often wonder if the farmers here can get an EU grant for ‘cultivating’ a field.... otherwise it must be costing him in diesel to do it!
